Running U provides networking, mentorship, and motivation for runners of all abilities. Running U is free to all Fort Collins Running Club Members!
Session 1: Start Running! (12 weeks- October 12-January 4)
Go from Tortoise to Hare in Session 1. Whether your goal is run a 5k or a marathon, the place to start is getting out the door and running! This Session is perfect for beginner runners. Session 1 will motivate runners to run at least 3 times per week during the winter months. Runners will have several opportunities to join group runs during the week and improve their pace with the Tortoise and Hare series. Running U participants will meet new runners and receive mentoring in a close Facebook group.
Runners who complete Session 1 will receive a special T-shirt.
Session 2: Train for the Horsetooth Half (Spring 2015)
Conquer the hills in Session 2. Once you are up the hill, you will begin to pick up speed as you join other runners in a structured training schedule for the Horsetooth Half Marathon.
Runners who complete Session 2 will receive cool FCRC gear.
Runners who complete both sessions will receive something so cool we haven’t even thought of it yet!
