Weekly Runs

Tuesday Morning Workouts: November-April. Jane Welzel’s speed workouts at the Grandview Cemetery, City Park, or Club Tico. Meet at 7:15am along the fence line just before the City Park Golf Course Parking lot (near the fire station on S. Bryan Ave). Typically get in between 3 and 6 miles worth of intervals and finishes up by 8:15 A.M. (Ended May 1, 2012. Organizer: Jane Welzel)

Track Tuesdays: May-October. Jane Welzel’s track workouts at the CSU track at 6 P.M. (Begins May 15, 2012. Organizer: Jane Welzel)

Trail Tuesdays: Weekly trail run at the trail head at the west end of Michaud Lane at 6 P.M. Hilly. (Organizer: Fort Collins Trail Runners)

Tuesdays & Thursdays: Raintree Athletic Club at 6 P.M. 5 to 6 miles average.

Wednesdays: Runners Roost group runs; different locations each week. 4-6 miles at 6:00 P.M. Call (970)224-9114. (Organizer: Runner’s Roost/Catharine Speights)

Thursdays (March 15-April 19): 6:00 P.M. Maxwell Natural Area. Runs are 4-7 miles. Thursday night runs are also low key with a few runners showing up. (Organizer: FCRC)

Thursdays (April 26 until mid-autumn): 6:30 P.M. Cottonwood Glen Park. Meet near where the bike path comes out into the parking lot next to the ball field. Runs are 4-7 miles. Thursday night runs are also low key with a few runners showing up. (Organizer: FCRC)

Saturday: We are planning a longer Saturday run once a month during the summer. June will be Eden Valley in Loveland, July is Redstone Canyon, and August will be Old Flowers Road. More details to come. (Organizer: FCRC)

    • Hi Susanne. To join the training groups, just show up 5-10 minutes before the designated times at the designated locations and look for runners. That’s all there is to it! I don’t think any paperwork is needed in most, if not all, cases.
