It’s time again for the 3rd Annual Gifted Feet Fundraiser! This year’s Gifted Feet Fundraiser will go from Saturday, October 1st to Sunday, October 9th. The Fort Collins Running Club will match $1 per every mile logged up to $1,000. All funds generated will benefit She Can Tri, an organization helping women in Afghanistan train for triathlons and supporting the schooling of girls and women in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.
This organization, along with Zeinab Rezaie, a local Afghan triathlete, have been working to provide more opportunities for women in Afghanistan. To read more about Zeinab’s journey and donate directly to the campaign, click here.
NEW KICKOFF EVENT at the Lyric!!!!
Zeinab will be answering questions about her fundraiser and a documentary she was featured in, called “Free to Run”, at a FCRC hosting screening at the Lyric on Thursday, September 29th, from 6-8pm. The screening is free, but donations through the Gifted Feet Fundraiser or to her Go Fund Me campaign are welcome.
Please join us for a great presentation, and of course the good food and beer at the Lyric, to support and learn from a local fellow runner and first Afghan women triathlete preparing to compete at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Utah on October 28 and 29th.
