FCRC Makes a $500 Donation to Shepardson Elementary School’s P.E. Program

The mission of the Fort Collins Running Club is to promote running in Fort Collins and surrounding communities, and per that goal, the club has supported and donated to many non-profit organizations and charities over the years through its Community Funding program.

The latest beneficiary is Shepardson Elementary School of Fort Collins. We donated $500 to run a mileage club program for the school’s students, families and staff. The program aims to get them to run and/or walk at least two days a week during the school year, and awards tokens for their accomplishments.

Materials purchased with the funds include scorecards, tokens, chains, awards, refreshments, first aid kits and course equipment. The funds will serve 350 students and family members along with 50 staff.
