This is a note from our now-former FCRC President, Connie DeMercurio. It talks about the new board members this year, who were nominated by last Sunday’s rain-soaked Annual Breakfast and confirmed at Wednesday’s board meeting.
We thank Comnie for doing a super job as President. She has definitely set a high bar for Dan Berlin, our new Prez!
Hi All!
This is the last group email that you will be receiving from me. No tears, please! Dan Berlin will be taking over as the club President, with Vice-President Katie Briggs assisting him on communications. Julie Pass is the new Treasurer and Membership Coordinator and Greg Smith is the new Secretary. Felix Wong will continue with website maintenance and Nick Clark will once again be at the helm of the Tortoise and Hare races.
I’ve enjoyed my tenure and getting to meet so many of you. When I joined the board 3 years ago, we had just under 100 members. Our membership is now 250. The turnout for the Tortoise and Hare races at the time averaged 10 people and we are now getting close to 100 with more growth in store for the upcoming season.
I hope those of you who haven’t gotten involved yet will do so and those who have will continue. Our club has the potential to rival Colorado Springs and Denver, but it will take more member participation.
