Into the Wild Running Festival

This event is a bit southeast of Fort Collins, but it sounds really cool especially since it involves animals. Check it out!

A new running event to benefit The Wild Animal Sanctuary, the nation’s oldest and largest refuge for rescued and rehabilitated large carnivores. Housing over 330 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves, Leopards, Lynx and more on 720 sprawling acres just 30 miles northeast of Denver, The Wild Animal Sanctuary features an innovative elevated walkway that allows our animals to be observed by the public in a stress-free environment. You’ll see more wildlife in 10 minutes than you’ve seen in your whole life, and your admission is tax deductible. Come run with the wild things on June 7 & 8 and gain free entry to the sanctuary with your paid race registration. The race courses – 5K, 10K, Half and Full Marathon are all newly certified by USA Track & Field, and each day will feature a full expo with vendors, live entertainment and food, and learn all about America’s Captive Wildlife Crisis, and how your participation in this event helps fight the wave of animal cruelty at home and abroad.

Your website said you only promote events in NoCo. I commute from FTC to The Sanctuary every day, it’s a really easy ride. 25 south to 52 East to 53.
