Running Buddies

Sometimes you just need a buddy!

This year, the Fort Collins Running Club is starting a new program for the Tortoise & Hare Races – Running Buddies!

Who might want a running buddy?

  • An older adult who would like support on the course
  • Someone with hearing impairment who otherwise might not feel safe running alone
  • Kids who want to get into running but may need support to run the course without a parent
  • Anyone who feels more supported and motivated when running with someone

If you, as a runner/walker/race participant, wants/needs assistance while racing the T&H for any of the above – you can request a running buddy. We will do our best to match you with someone who is the best fit for your needs. Don’t be shy!

We also need some help from those who can be the Buddies!

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to race as a buddy with another club member for any of the T&H club races. A volunteer can run with a buddy as many or as few times as they want, and will be contacted by the running club if a request has been made that matches their abilities and preferences.

Click below to submit info to either request a Buddy or be a Buddy. Also don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
