Racing

With its moderate climate, 300 days of sunshine each year, and athletic culture, it may come as no surprise that there seems to be a race somewhere in Colorado each and every weekend.

Our race calendar—using data provide by Colorado Runner (a monthly magazine mailed to each one of our members)—lists the next races coming up in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor.

Colorado Runner Magazine’s online event calendar has even more races outside the immediate Fort Collins area.

If you are a FCRC member that has run in our Tortoise & Hare race series, you can use our exclusive race calculator to try to predict your finish time in a future race. This calculator uses your past T&H data and a sophisticated algorithm to forecast your time.

Racing is a great motivator for training and staying in shape. Plus, it is fun!

  1. Hi. I just signed up for the T&H race this weekend at Spring Canyon Park and I’m confused about where the start/finish line is. The route map shows it next to the dog park, but two different addresses are listed in my confirmation email: 3074 S. Overland Trl., and 2626 W. Horsetooth Rd. Could you please clarify? Thanks.

    1. Hi Lynann,
Thanks for registering for the Tortoise & Hare race. The start line is at 2626 W. Horsetooth Road and the route map is correct. Thanks for finding the discrepancy in our directions link. Technically you could park at either location and be within walking distance of the start/finish line. Since the parks are next to each other there will be plenty of parking. See you Sunday!
